Apron Feeder

Apron feeder is a quantitative feeding device for the continuous conveying system of bulk materials. It is mainly used to continuously and evenly supply and transfer various large heavy objects and abrasive bulk materials from storage bins or transfer hoppers to crushers, batching devices or transportation equipment. This equipment is one of the important and indispensable equipment in the process of ore and raw material processing and continuous production.

The Apron feeder drives the chain and conveyor plate through the drive device to move the material from the feed end to the discharge end. The conveyor plate is usually made of high-strength steel plate and can withstand greater impact and wear. In order to avoid the material directly hitting the feeder, the silo is required not to be unloaded.

Apron feeder is used as a continuous and uniform feeding from the silo to the primary crusher in the crushing and grading workshop of large ore dressing plants and cement, building materials and other departments. It can also be used to convey materials with larger particle size and specific gravity over short distances.

Main Points Of Daily Maintenance Of Plate Feeder

Regularly check the working and lubrication conditions of each operating part;

  • Check the lubrication of each bearing part every day and add grease (the head and tail main bearing seats should be checked and greased once a week)
  • Check the lubrication of the reducer every three months and replace the oil every six months (the first time is to change the oil after one week of operation);
  • Manually drip oil lubricate each node of the traction chain and manually inject 30-40 mechanical oil every week;

Working condition of the transport mechanism:

  • Whether the chain is deviated and the tension is appropriate;
  • The meshing state of the sprocket and whether there is sharp noise;
  • Whether the bolt parts are loose;
  • Whether the conveying trough is worn, deformed, or interfered.

Working conditions of supporting rollers, chain rollers and return rollers:

  • Whether the rotation is flexible and whether there is any abnormal sound;
  • Grease injection inspection;

Use of worn parts:

  • Conveyor trough and traction chain;
  • Supporting rollers, return rollers;
  • Sprocket tooth surface;
  • Lining plates at various locations;

Conclusion

Apron feeders are used as silos to continuously and evenly feed primary crushers in the crushing and grading workshops of large-scale ore dressing plants and in cement, building materials and other departments. Apron feeders are commonly used in mining, metallurgy, building materials, ports, coal and other fields.
