The magnetic Particle brake is based on the electromagnetic principle and uses magnetic particle to transmit torque. It has the characteristics that the excitation current and the transmitted torque are basically linear, and it can transmit a certain torque without slip.
The magnetic Particle brake has a fast response speed, simple structure, no pollution, no noise, no impact vibration, and is a multi-purpose, high-performance automatic control component.
The working principle of the hollow shaft magnetic particle brake is to fill magnetic particle between the stator and the rotor through the electromagnetic principle, and use the electromagnetic suction to generate the binding force between the magnetic particle and the friction between the magnetic particle and the working surface, thereby transmitting power and motion, and controlling the adjustment torque.
Five installation points of the hollow shaft magnetic particlebrake
- Pay attention to moisture. If the internal iron particle is damp, the performance will become unstable, so be especially careful not to let oil or water invade the interior. Especially when installing the gearbox, the oil will penetrate the shaft and invade the interior, so it must be completely sealed with a film.
- When installing the hollow shaft magnetic particle brake, the torque input side and the output side cannot be reversed to avoid affecting the heat dissipation conditions and reducing the slip power. The hollow shaft magnetic particle brake should be installed in the horizontal direction of the shaft, and vertical installation is absolutely not allowed.
- The surface temperature of the hollow shaft magnetic particle brake in continuous operation shall not be higher than the following table value: Self-cooling: below 80~90oC Water cooling: below 90oC Forced air cooling: below 70oC.
- The air input to the forced air cooling brake must be degreased and dehydrated to prevent the particle from getting damp and damaging the coil insulation.
- The magnetic particle working chamber must not allow oil and water to penetrate. If the hollow shaft magnetic particle brake is installed near the gearbox, an oil seal must be used to prevent grease from penetrating along the shaft.
Conclusion
Due to the superior performance of the hollow shaft magnetic particle brake, it is widely used in papermaking machinery, printing machinery, chemical machinery, plastic machinery, slitting machines, coating machines, rubber machinery, textile machinery, printing and dyeing machinery, wire and cable machinery, metallurgical machinery, sheeting machinery and other related winding processing industries in the unwinding and winding tension control system.
