Magnetic Particle brake is based on electromagnetic principle and uses magnetic Particle to transmit torque. It has the characteristic that the excitation current and the transmitted torque are basically linear. It can transmit a certain torque regardless of the slip, and has the advantages of fast response speed, simple structure, no pollution, no noise, no impact vibration and energy saving.

Hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake can be called hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake. Its working principle is consistent with that of magnetic Particle brake (single shaft type), but the two are slightly different in structure and design. Hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake is divided into two types: inner shell rotating hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake and outer shell rotating hollow shaft magnetic Particlebrake.

  1. The installation of hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake shall be carried out according to the relevant mechanical regulations. The torque input side and output side shall not be reversed to avoid affecting the heat dissipation conditions and reducing the slip power. Hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake and hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake should keep the shaft installed in the horizontal direction, and vertical installation is absolutely not allowed.
  2. When used under the allowable slip power, the life of magnetic Particle is 5000~8000 hours. When the torque drops below 30% of the rated torque, replace the magnetic Particle or add magnetic Particle, but the filling rate cannot be greater than 100% to prevent excessive heating.
  3. The water inlet of the brake must be installed at the bottom of the vertical direction. The cooling water in the water cavity must be drained for long-term out of use to prevent moisture and rust. In cold areas, water freezing damage to the machine parts, and the water cavity must be cleaned and decontaminated regularly.
  4. The surface temperature of the hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake and the brake in continuous operation shall not be higher than the following table values: Self-cooling: below 80~90oC Water cooling: below 90oC Forced air cooling: below 70oC.
  5. The air input to the forced air-cooled brake or the brake must be deoiled and dehydrated to prevent the Particle from getting wet and damaging the coil insulation.
  6. Oil and water are absolutely not allowed to penetrate into the magnetic Particle working chamber. If the hollow shaft magnetic Particle brake is installed near the gearbox, an oil seal must be used to prevent grease from penetrating along the shaft.
