The magnetic Particle clutch is based on the electromagnetic principle and uses magnetic Particle to transmit torque. There is a basically linear relationship between the excitation current and the transmitted torque. It can transmit a certain torque regardless of the slip, and has the advantages of fast response speed, simple structure, no pollution, no noise, no impact vibration, and energy saving.

The magnetic Particle clutch consists of an active part and a driven part, which is connected to the winding roller through a transmission mechanism such as a universal coupling, and fine ferromagnetic Particle is filled in the middle as a torque transmission medium.

The magnetic Particle  clutch is a simple and durable device. The magnetic  Particle of the magnetic Particle clutch is located between the outer diameter of the rotor and the inner diameter of the drive cylinder. When there is no current in the coil, the particles are loosely scattered between the rotor and the drive cylinder. When the coil is energized, a magnetic field is generated in the stator area, and the magnetic Particle  is arranged along the magnetic field lines, connecting the rotor and the drive cylinder. As the current increases, the magnetic field becomes stronger and the connection is strengthened. The strength of this connection or torque is proportional to the current value of the coil. The long life, smooth start/stop, and silent operation of the magnetic Particle  clutch make it suitable for cyclic and overload applications.

Installation method of magnetic Particle clutch

Please confirm whether the clutch matches the vehicle model and whether the driven plate assembly can be smoothly inserted into a shaft. Secondly, check whether the end face of the flywheel is grooved or has foreign matter; whether the release fork and guide sleeve (bearing) are abnormal; whether the main and slave cylinders and crankshaft and gearbox oil seals are leaking or failing; whether the release bearing seat can slide freely; whether the release bearing is oil-losing, stuck or severely worn, etc. If the above phenomena occur, they should be repaired or replaced in time.

When installing the magnetic Particle clutch, please use special positioning mandrel and other tools. The size and direction of the positioning pin hole should be identified, and all fastening screws should be tightened evenly and diagonally.

According to the instruction manual of different models, check and adjust the free travel of the clutch pedal to ensure that the gap between the release bearing and the clutch thrust ring meets the specified requirements.

Precautions For Installation And Use Of magnetic Particle clutch

  1. The clutch pressure plate and cover assembly (referred to as the cover assembly) undergo strict dynamic unbalance test and various performance tests before leaving the factory. Do not change or adjust the green paint seal on the locking screw at will.
  2. Handle with care during transportation, and avoid any form of dropping, smashing, or prying that may cause cracks on the clutch cover; do not pull the thrust ring for transportation to avoid causing the thrust ring to tilt and the lever spring to fail.
  3. Do not modify the clutch without permission;
  4. Do not use products that have been wetted by water or severely rusted;
  5. Strictly assemble in accordance with the requirements of the loading specifications to prevent the assembly from tilting, the thrust ring from falling off, and the release lever hanging spring from being damaged.
  6. The gap between the release bearing and the thrust ring should be guaranteed to be 2-4mm.
  7. When loading, no debris is allowed to fall into the clutch and clutch housing.
  8. When tightening the bolts, tighten them evenly and alternately diagonally.
  9. As the clutch wears, the gap between the release bearing and the thrust ring should be readjusted.
  10. Please pay attention to the use of the corresponding model of clutch.
