TC4 titanium alloy is a (α+β) type titanium alloy. Its chemical composition and physical properties are shown in Table 1 and Table 2 respectively. Known as “ocean metal” or “space metal”, it is widely used in ships, aviation, electric power, chemical industry, construction, automobile, medical treatment and other fields.
Due to its physical properties such as high strength, easy deformation, and poor thermal conductivity, TC4 titanium alloy is difficult to process by traditional machining methods, and is a typical difficult-to-machine material.
